I have a couple of blog posts in the works right now. They are a continuation of my series on Jesus' Heart for His Bride. The next in the series is John 15: 1-17 (from which the title of my blog "A Branch in the Vine" comes). Not surprisingly, love is a huge theme in it. The blog posts are coming along slowly. I am trying to write just a little everyday, so that I can actually live out "love" and not just write about it (like getting our house in order out of love to bless my sweet husband and the people who come through our door).
If anyone feels like it, I would love to hear a bit about what the Lord is doing in your life right now. For instance...
How is He revealing Himself to you these days? What Scriptures are speaking to you lately? Are you struggling with your walk with God right now? How can you use prayer and other help from the Body of Christ in these struggles? What questions are you sorting through right now (whether you are a non-Christian, or you are not sure whether you are a Christian, or you are a new Christian, or you are someone who has been a Christian for a while now) ?

I was trying to leave a comment, but I can't process my thoughts. It doesn't help that I keep getting interupted. I will share that I am struggling with spending time with God. Even my prays have been shorter than usual. I so want to get back into daily reading and prayers.
Hmmm. In short, God is teaching me to sacrifice my own comforts and pleasures for His greater glory and for the good of others. I have seen through His eyes just how selfish I really am and am humbled.
Hi Ladies, it means so much to me to have you post about where you are right now. Thanks for being real. I'm hoping this blog will be more interactive, so that I can better know how to pray for others and so I will have ideas about what kind of things might be helpful to write about. I'll be praying for you. I can definitely relate to seasons of struggling to meet with God in prayer and Bible study. I will pray that He whets your appetite to meet with Him in increasing measure! I know He is faithful to answer such prayers! And I can totally relate to increasingly seeing how truly selfish I am. Marriage intensified my view of my selfishness to the billionth degree. I'm sure aving kids would too. Everyday I walk with Jesus, I see that I'm far more sinful than I ever realized but HE is far more glorious, gracious, merciful and mighty to have saved me and to be working in me! Love you dear sisters, B
Hi Bina, I've been thinking about my response for a while now. I felt that I needed to condense my current thoughts/struggles/questions down, but I can't seem to do that, so I will just summarize. My brain is a muddled mess right now, so I have no idea where I am to begin working. Here is what I've been thinking about: who God is, my identity in Christ, repentance, forgiveness, and redemption, relationships, what is the body of Christ supposed to look like and what is my role in that, my purpose & direction in life, trusting God and not taking the reins, and spending quality time with Him. Thanks for your post and your heart for service!
Thanks, Heather. Your honesty here, in your blog, and in person has been so edifying to me as I work through these issues and questions too. I continue to lift you and your journey in prayer. May our Mighty God continue to reveal His Love, Truth, and Beauty to us in increasing measure! Much love, Bina
